NSW public schools offer special religious education and special education in ethics, delivered by approved providers wherever available.
During enrolment, you can choose a special religious education option for your child from the school’s available approved providers. You can withdraw your child from special religious education by selecting alternative meaningful activities, or special education in ethics if it’s available.
You can update your preference by writing to the school or through the online form available at participating schools.

At Eastwood Public School, SRE (Special Religious Education, also called 'Scripture') is delivered at the following times:
Wednesday 9:20 – 9:50 am for Years K, 1 and 2 students
Wednesday 10:00 – 10:30 am for Years 3 and 4 students
Wednesday 10:40 – 11:10 am for Years 5 and 6 students

During the time that SRE classes are being held, students not attending any of the available classes will be located in a separate space and supervised by Eastwood PS staff. They will participate in meaningful activities (this could include reading, drawing or other activities).
