School Walk-a-thon – Each Can Step

We are thrilled to announce that the Eastwood Public School Walk-a-thon will take place on Tuesday, 1 July 2025. This year’s theme, Each Can Step, highlights the power of every individual effort and the incredible things we can achieve when we come together as a school community.

Throughout the day, students will be walking, jogging, and moving their way around the course, showing that every step really does count. It promises to be a fantastic day filled with fun, fitness, and plenty of school spirit!

We are encouraging all students to seek as many sponsors as they can — from family, friends, and neighbours — to support their efforts. Every sponsorship, no matter the size, will make a real difference. The more sponsors we have, the closer we get to making some exciting improvements for our school.

All funds raised will go directly towards two major projects: the installation of new playground equipment and the development of a new sensory room. Both projects will create engaging, inclusive spaces that every Eastwood Public School student will benefit from for years to come.

We would love your support in helping to make this event a huge success. Together, with every step and every sponsorship, we are building an even better Eastwood for our students. Fit Futures Program

At Eastwood Public School, we are committed to providing our students with a well-rounded education that supports their physical, social and emotional well-being. As part of this commitment, we proudly partner with Fit Futures to deliver engaging and high-quality physical education lessons for our students.

The Fit Futures program is designed to build students’ fundamental movement skills, fitness and confidence through a variety of fun and structured activities, including gymnastics, dance, athletics and fitness games. These lessons support the NSW PDHPE curriculum and help our students develop teamwork, resilience and a lifelong love of physical activity. We are proud to provide our students with this valuable opportunity to learn, move and grow.

COVID Information

Thank you to our wonderful Eastwood Public School community for your careful vigilance and fast response in monitoring for COVID symptoms and testing.

We ask that you continue to regularly test your child/children using the Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs) and monitor for any cold/flu-like symptoms in order to help our school classrooms run smoothly for all students.
